Inauguration of New Consulate Premises in Kathmandu & Celebration of Vidushi Rana’s Appointment as Honorary Consul of Republic of Iceland

An esteemed gathering was held today at the Hotel Yak and Yeti to commemorate the appointment of Vidushi Rana as the new Honorary Consul of Republic of Iceland in Nepal and to mark the inauguration of the new Consulate premises in Kathmandu. This significant event was graced by distinguished personalities and dignitaries from various sectors, reflecting the importance of this diplomatic milestone. The event was honored by the presence of Honorable Minister of Industry, Commerce, and Supplies, Damodar Bhandari, who attended as the Chief Guest. His Excellency Gudni Bragason, Ambassador of the Republic of Iceland, participated as a Special Guest, underscoring the strengthening bilateral relations between Nepal and Iceland.

Prominent figures such as Honorable Deputy Speaker of the House, Ms. Indira Rana Magar, and were present showcasing the event’s significance within Nepal’s legislative and judicial spheres. The event witnessed the attendance of numerous Honorable Members of the Parliament, and various Excellencies Ambassadors, emphasizing the diplomatic weight of the occasion. The event drew a crowd of more than 300 attendees, including Honorary Consuls, dignitaries, government officials, and other notable personalities, reflecting the broad interest and support for the new Consulate and Mrs. Vidushi Rana’s appointment.
