Kathmandu. The Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry expresses deep sorrow over the loss of life and property caused by the incessant rainfall since September 26, 2024, in various parts of the country. The Federation pays heartfelt tributes to those who lost their lives in the disaster and expresses deep condolences to the bereaved families. It also wishes for the speedy recovery of the injured.
In this hour of crisis, the FNCCI has decided to provide relief of Rs 1 lakh each to the severely affected districts through the District Chambers. This amount will be utilised for relief purposes through the member District Chambers.
Furthermore, the Federation also requests its Executive Committee members, member District and Municipal Chambers, sectoral associations, associate and bilateral associations, and all entrepreneurs and businesspeople to provide necessary assistance from their respective sides during this time of disaster.
Likewise, the FNCCI also calls upon all its members to remain as active as possible in the supply of essential goods, etc., during this time when transportation has been disrupted due to floods and landslides.
Since the government has also requested for necessary equipment during the rescue operation, the FNCCI also requests its members to provide such equipment to the government agencies involved in the rescue operation.
Under its corporate social responsibility, the FNCCI has always been at the forefront in providing assistance whenever the country faces a disaster.
