Kathmandu: The National Cyber Olympiad +2 Edition–Inter School ICT Quiz Competition 2081 is set to take place this year, providing a remarkable platform for higher secondary-level students to explore and engage with the world of Information Technology (IT). Organized by Prashikshan and managed by Paila Creation, the event aims to enhance students’ knowledge and skills through a series of stimulating quiz rounds covering topics such as General ICT, ICT Curriculum, Current Events, Logical Reasoning, Mental Aptitude, and ICT Tools and Gadgets.
Participants from 30 different +2 schools/colleges will compete in a knockout format, ensuring a competitive and engaging experience. The competition will run in three phases: Qualifying, Semifinal, and Final, beginning on February 20, 2025 (8th Falgun, 2081). The grand finale is scheduled for February 27, 2025 (15th Falgun, 2081). Throughout the event, participants will face challenges in multiple quiz rounds, including General, Curriculum, Logical, Multimedia, Defending, Gambling, and Gasping rounds. The winning team will be awarded an impressive package of Thirty Thousand Cash Prize, a trophy, medals, and gift hampers.
The primary objective of the National Cyber Olympiad is to provide students with a vital extracurricular opportunity to enhance their knowledge and develop practical skills in Information Communication Technology. The competition is designed to foster IT education among higher secondary level students while inspiring them to explore the field further. Competition will help to equip students with valuable technological skills and insights, ensuring a broader impact beyond the regular classroom learning.
Mr. Laxman Pokhrel, the Founder President of Prashikshan, shared that the successful completion of five consecutive school editions not only brought excitement to the organizers but also generated strong demand from +2 students, prompting the decision to extend the competition to +2 edition.
