Nabil Bank organized Walkathon on International Women’s Day

KATHMANDU: Nabil Bank Limited organized a walkathon to celebrate International Women’s Day. The Women’s Day walkathon program was held under the theme “Women in Motion – Accelerate Action” to celebrate women’s resilience, achievements, and contributions.

Inaugurating the walkathon at premises of Head Office, Teendhara, Upendra Prasad Poudyal, Chairman of Nabil Bank extended his best wishes to all women on this special occasion. He emphasized that the bank prioritizes women leadership and praised to women leaders heading various department in the bank. He encouraged women to take leadership positions in various departments for overall bank’s growth and development.

Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Gyanendra Prasad Dhungana stated that the bank is not just celebrating Women’s Day on this day but celebrating the entire month of March with various programs dedicated to women. “Women must step forward in leadership roles, and the bank is always ready to provide opportunities in various fields,” he said.

According to the bank, the walkathon took place simultaneously from 12 different locations across the country. More than 1,200 employees from the bank participated in the walkathon from Kathmandu, Biratnagar, Birtamod, Janakpur, Birgunj, Pokhara, Nepalgunj, Tulsipur, Surkhet, Dhangadhi, Butwal, and Narayanghat. The bank believes that this initiative will promote and create awareness about gender equality and contribute to building a more inclusive society. Participants in the walkathon said that walking together is not just a symbolic act but also an essential step toward breaking societal stereotypes and ending discrimination.
