Kathmandu : In a groundbreaking partnership to enhance cybersecurity and data privacy in Asia, Data Protection Experts Asia Sdn Bhd (DPEX Asia), a premier data protection consultancy based in Malaysia, has signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with One Cover Pvt. Ltd., one of Nepal’s top cybersecurity companies. The primary focus of this partnership is to collaborate on the drafting of Nepal’s Personal Data Protection Bill, a critical step toward strengthening the nation’s digital legal infrastructure.
The MoU was officially signed by Professor Abu Bakar Munir, Chairman of DPEX Asia, and Chiranjibi Adhikari, CEO of One Cover Private Limited (Dedicated Cybersecurity Company). This partnership is not only pivotal for Nepal but is also seen as a model for broader collaboration on data protection laws across Asian countries, where the need for robust digital governance is growing rapidly.
