Kathmandu : TVS Motor Company – a leading global automaker in the two and three-wheeler segment – marked World Environment Day celebrations by undertaking an extensive tree plantation drive in Kathmandu. This plantation was conducted in partnership with the Lions Club of Kathmandu New Waves and Budanilkantha Municipality, where 100 plants were planted at Budanilkantha -1, Taulung, Chaukidada.
The plantation drive also marked a significant milestone: over 5 million kilometres have been collectively ridden by TVS iQube customers. This sustainable effort has resulted in savings of 1.4 lakh litres of fuel, equivalent to NPR 22 million in fuel costs, and a reduction of 350 tonnes of CO₂ emissions — comparable to planting 15,000 trees.

World Environment Day, observed every year on June 5, is the United Nations’ flagship campaign to drive environmental awareness and global action. TVS Motor Company, along with Jagdamba Motors Pvt. Ltd., is contributing to this cause through its campaign “Transform Today”.
Rooted in the 4Rs – Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, the campaign encourages practical, measurable, and scalable sustainability efforts. “Transform Today” aims to inspire small, daily, impactful actions — at home, at work, and in the community — that lead to a lasting positive environmental impact.
