This technological advancement enables TikTok to scale its moderation efforts and maintain a secure environment for its growing global community. The report also highlights a 50% reduction in restored videos, reinforcing the accuracy and effectiveness of TikTok’s content moderation systems.
The report also indicates that a significant portion of removed videos—31%—contained sensitive or mature themes that did not align with TikTok’s content policies. An additional 15.1% of videos breached the platform’s safety and civility standards, while 4.7% violated privacy and security guidelines.
Like last quarter, TikTok will continue summarising the removed Covert Influence Operations (CIO) networks. At the same time, detailed information on disrupted individual operations is available in a new standalone report.
