Kathmandu – Standard Chartered Bank Nepal Limited has contributed USD 100,000 to the Prime Minister Disaster Relief Fund to support the ongoing recovery, rehabilitation and rebuilding efforts for communities affected by the devastating floods that struck Nepal in August 2026. The contribution reflects the Bank’s commitment to standing alongside the people of Nepal as affected communities continue to recover from the widespread impact of the disaster.
Highlighting the significance of the contribution, Gorakh Rana, Chief Executive Officer, said: “The floods that impacted many districts across Nepal last month left many families facing significant challenges and disruption to their lives and livelihoods. At Standard Chartered, we believe in being Here for Good, especially during times when communities need sustained support to recover and rebuild. Through this contribution to the Prime Minister Disaster Relief Fund, we hope to support the Government of Nepal’s ongoing efforts to help affected communities recover, restore livelihoods and strengthen resilience for the future.”
