Kathmandu – Capital Hotel and Hospitality Limited, a group company of MS Group, today announced the signing of a Hotel Management Agreement with Marriott International to open the JW Marriott Hotel Kathmandu Valley, marking the brand’s debut in Nepal. The agreement represents the fourth collaboration between the two companies and a significant milestone in Nepal’s luxury hospitality landscape.
Scheduled to open in early 2031, the JW Marriott Hotel Kathmandu Valley will feature 221 luxury rooms and be located 15 minutes from Tribhuvan International Airport, offering convenient access to Kathmandu’s UNESCO World Heritage sites and cultural landmarks. The property will offer multiple dining outlets, a spa, fitness centre, swimming pool, JW Garden, and over 1,600 square metres of event space.
The Hotel Management Agreement was signed between Gaurav Agarwal, Owner and Managing Director of Capital Hotel and Hospitality Limited, and Rajeev Menon, President, Asia Pacific (excluding China), Marriott International. Additional agreement exchanges took place between Shashi Kant Agarwal, on behalf of Capital Hotel & Hospitality Ltd., and David Marriott, Chairman of Board, Marriott International. The Honorable Member of Parliament Mingma David Sherpa as well graced the event and witnessed the signing.
