Kathmandu — Asian Paints Nepal successfully concluded the 13th edition of Kaleidoscope – All Nepal Architecture & Interior Design Competition 2025-26 with an inspiring award ceremony held at Aloft by Marriott, Thamel, Kathmandu on 26th Ashadh 2083. The event celebrated emerging design talent while further strengthening the bridge between academic excellence and professional practice.
Gracing the occasion as the Chief Guest was Hon’ble Secretary, Government of Nepal, Ministry of Infrastructure Development, Er. Gopal Prasad Sigdel. The program was attended by distinguished representatives from the Government of Nepal, Department of Urban Development and Building Construction (DUDBC), Society of Nepalese Architects (SONA), Nepal Engineering Association (NEA), Interior Designers Association Nepal (IDEA Nepal), Federation of Contractors’ Associations of Nepal (FCAN), Society of Consulting Architectural and Engineering Firms (SCAEF), senior academicians, renowned architects, interior designers and architecture students from across the country.
Kaleidoscope serves as a platform dedicated to nurturing the next generation of architects and interior designers by providing students with opportunities to work on live projects and gain exposure to real-world industry practices. Through this initiative, students acquire practical knowledge, sharpen their creative thinking, and enhance their readiness for professional careers.
The competition celebrated the passion, creativity, and dedication of Nepal’s emerging design talent. The winners were selected through a rigorous multi-stage evaluation process conducted by an esteemed and impartial jury panel comprising renowned senior architects, representatives from the Society of Nepalese Architects (SONA), and officials from the Department of Urban Development and Building Construction (DUDBC).
Recognizing exceptional vision, innovation, and design excellence, the Top 12 finalists were honored with certificates, while the Top 3 winners received trophies, certificates, and cash prizes.
This year’s top honors were awarded to outstanding students from leading institutions across Nepal. Mr. Purushottam Ghimire from IOE, Thapathali Campus emerged as the Winner of Kaleidoscope 2025-26 for his exceptional design concept and innovative approach. Mr. Suman B.K. from IOE, Purwanchal Campus secured the 1st Runner-Up position, while Ms. Aditi Rijal from Himalaya College of Engineering was recognized as the 2nd Runner-Up. Their creativity, technical expertise, and visionary designs stood out among participants from across the nation, reflecting the immense potential of Nepal’s future architects and interior designers.
A special highlight of the ceremony was the unveiling of the winning design through a 3D model presentation, bringing the students’ ideas to life. The winning concept was subsequently handed over to the Department of Urban Development and Building Construction (DUDBC), symbolizing the transformation of academic creativity into meaningful real-world impact and inspiring the next generation of architects and designers to help shape Nepal’s future built environment.
