Kathmandu – Kamana Sewa Bikas Bank Limited has enabled both issuing and acquiring of NEPALPAY Card to extend its digital banking capabilities. It will now be able to issue NEPALPAY card to its customers and acquire such card along with Discover network cards at its ATMs. NEPALPAY card is the national card scheme operated under National Payment Switch by NCHL, which along with multiple card schemes will be available at Kamana Sewa Bikas Bank.
NCHL has recently rollout NEPALPAY Card as national card scheme, and its global acceptance through international Discover® Network. It allows the participating banks & financial institutions, payment service providers (PSPs), and payment system operators (PSOs) to issue such card that are accepted at POS and ATM terminals across Nepal and globally. It also allows the international Discover cards including RUPAY card to be accepted in Nepal. NEPALPAY has already been subscribed by over 36 BFIs, which are currently at various stages of rollout. It has already been issued by 7 BFIs and acquired by 10 BFIs, which is expected to grow in coming days.
