Kathmandu . Ncell Foundation has collaborated with the prestigious ICT Award in the field of information and communication technology (ICT) sector. This is a special annual event that honours outstanding work and personalities in ICT.
With this, Ncell Foundation has joined the ICT Award 2024 as the ‘Supported By’ partner. The collaboration aims to honour and promote advancements in ICT, encourage women IT, and work together to reduce the gap of digital divide.
The grand finale of the 9th edition of the InDrive ICT Award 2024 Supported By Ncell Foundation, is scheduled for December 20 at Hyatt Regency Kathmandu. The award promotes digital development and presents the ICT Award in 14 different categories to various organizations, startups, and individuals who are working in ICT and making remarkable contributions.
“We have been working in this sector for a long time to bridge the digital divide. We are delighted to collaborate with the ICT Award, which honours outstanding organizations, startups, and individuals contributing to digital transformation from their respective fields,” said Bishakha Lakshmi Khadka, Head of Corporate Communications and CSR at Ncell.
To encourage participation of women in ICT, Ncell has been presenting the ‘Ncell Woman Icon ICT Award’ through the ICT Award for the past four years. This year as well, Ncell Foundation will honour a woman who has made remarkable contributions to the IT sector, awarding a cash prize of Rs 300,000 along with the recognition.
Ncell Foundation has been spearheading various initiatives focused on education, community-impacting activities, bridging the digital divide, and promoting cybersecurity and digital literacy, among other efforts.
