MAXUS Nepal, in Coordination with SAIC MAXUS, Announces NPR 7 Million Support for Disaster Relief and Recovery in Nepal

KathmanduMAXUS Nepal, in coordination with SAIC MAXUS Automotive Co., Ltd., China expresses its deepest condolences and heartfelt sympathy to the families and communities affected by the devastating disaster that struck Nepal on August 26, 2026.

At this difficult time, MAXUS Nepal and SAIC MAXUS stand in solidarity with the people of Nepal and extend sincere wishes for the safety, recovery, and well-being of all those affected.

As part of our commitment to supporting the affected communities and contributing toward immediate relief and subsequent recovery efforts, MAXUS Nepal, in coordination with SAIC MAXUS, has decided to extend total support amounting to NPR 7,000,000 (Nepalese Rupees Seventy Lakhs) for the cause.

Proposed Allocation of the NPR 70 Lakhs Support

Of the total announced support:

NPR 50,00,000 (Nepalese Rupees Fifty Lakhs) is planned to be contributed to the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund, supporting the Government of Nepal’s wider relief, rescue, rehabilitation, and recovery initiatives.

The remaining NPR 20,00,000 (Nepalese Rupees Twenty Lakhs) is planned to be utilized for the procurement and direct distribution of essential relief materials to communities in some of the most severely affected and needful areas with cordination of the local level government of the area. 

The detailed process, locations, relief materials, distribution mechanism, and timeline are currently under discussion and coordination

This initiative reflects the shared commitment of MAXUS Nepal and SAIC MAXUS toward Nepal and its people, extending beyond business and demonstrating our responsibility to stand with the country and its communities during times of hardship.
