Kathmandu: Jagdamba Motors Pvt. Ltd., the sole authorized distributor of TVS Motor Company in Nepal, has unveiled the all-new TVS NTORQ 150 at the Nepathya Live in Kirtipur concert held on October 10 at the Laboratory School Ground in Kirtipur.
Introduced as Nepal’s first 150cc Hyper Sport Scooter, the NTORQ 150 was launched amid a live musical performance by Nepali folk-rock band Nepathya. The scooter was officially unveiled by Dipendra Mishra, Chief Operating Officer of Jagdamba Motors, and Karuna Pudasaini, Senior Marketing Manager of the company.
The launch featured a product presentation, a special video showcasing the scooter’s journey to Lo Manthang, and an on-stage reveal with visual effects. The company announced the scooter’s price at Rs 3,69,900.
Speaking at the event, Mishra said the NTORQ 150 represents the next evolution of performance scooters, combining power, technology, safety and distinctive styling. He added that unveiling the scooter at the Nepathya concert brought together music, passion and the spirit of pushing boundaries.
Similarly, Pudasaini highlighted the scooter’s performance capabilities and advanced features, including its 149.7cc engine, Race and Street riding modes, traction control and ABS. She said the new model aims to offer young riders an enhanced riding experience.
The TVS NTORQ 150 is powered by a 149.7cc, three-valve engine that produces 13.2 PS of power and 14.2 Nm of torque. According to the company, the scooter accelerates from 0 to 60 km/h in 6.3 seconds and has a claimed top speed of 104 km/h.
Its features include traction control, single-channel ABS, Race and Street riding modes, a hybrid TFT-LCD display and smart connectivity functions. The scooter is available in three colour options: Stealth Silver, Racing Red and Turbo Blue.
The launch was part of the Nepathya Live in Kirtipur concert, organised by Ramailo Event Management, with TVS NTORQ 150 as the title sponsor. The event brought together live music, youth culture and the launch of the new scooter.
Through the introduction of the NTORQ 150, Jagdamba Motors aims to strengthen its presence in Nepal’s two-wheeler market with a performance-oriented scooter featuring modern technology and distinctive styling.
