One of Nepal’s Rapidly Growing DC Fast Charging Station By Sharda Group and Golchha Organization

Kathmandu. In a significant step towards enhancing electric vehicle infrastructure in Nepal, Sharda Group and Golchha Organisation has officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to collaborate on developing an extensive network of DC fast charging stations. This partnership aims to provide convenient charging solutions for EV users and promote sustainable transportation nationwide. The joint venture plans to establish 100 Fast chargers across the country within a year.

Currently there are 16+ fast charging networks in operation across the country. With the increasing adoption of electric vehicles, the need for accessible and reliable charging infrastructure has become more critical. The existing charging infrastructure is located in Pokhara – 3 locations, Kathmandu – 3 locations, Narayanghat – 3 locations, Nepalgunj, Butwal, Biratnagar-2 locations, Birgunj, Birtamode, Bardibas and more. The joint initiative will focus on establishing charging stations in key locations, making it easier for EV owners to travel confidently. With this agreement, the partnership plan to establish 100 DC fast chargers across the country within a year with the aim of providing convenient service to the customers. Sharda Group is the authorized distributor for Nissan, Omoda & Jaecoo and Zeekr vehicles while Golchha Organization is official distributor of Leapmotor, Citroen, Peugeot and Kaiyi for Nepal. The partnership provides accessibility for the customers of all the brands associated with Sharda Group and Golchha Organization.  The conventional benefit of DC fast chargers can be utilized by all the customers nationwide.

The agreement reinforces Sharda Group and Golchha Organization’s commitment to supporting the growing electric vehicle market in Nepal. This MOU marks a significant milestone in the advancement of Nepal’s EV charging network, paving the way for a greener, more sustainable future in transportation.
