Kathmandu. The NADA Automobiles Dealers Association (NADA), Nepal’s premier automobile dealers’ association, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, Automotive Sub-Council (CCPIT-Auto). This collaboration is a significant step toward strengthening economic ties, fostering trade, and driving sustainable development in the automotive industry between Nepal and China.
The agreement aims to establish a robust framework for mutual cooperation in areas such as trade promotion, knowledge exchange, capacity building, and sustainable practices within the automotive sector. Through joint initiatives like trade fairs, business delegations, and policy advocacy, the partnership seeks to unlock new opportunities for investment and innovation.
Under the MOU:
- NADA will focus on identifying investment prospects, facilitating trade events, and supporting Chinese businesses interested in the Nepalese automotive market.
- CCPIT-Auto will promote Chinese investments in Nepal, facilitate the exchange of technical knowledge, and support collaborative programs.
A Joint Working Group will oversee the implementation of this partnership, ensuring regular reviews and adjustments to achieve measurable outcomes. Both organizations are committed to respecting intellectual property rights and ensuring confidentiality throughout their collaboration.
