Kathmandu – NMB Bank has facilitated the distribution of various support materials to persons with disabilities in Bheriganga Municipality, Surkhet under the “Disability Transformation and Rehabilitation Partnership Program.”
The program was organized by the Ministry of Social Development in collaboration with Karuna Foundation Nepal, National Federation of the Disabled Nepal, and NMB Bank. Under the initiative, assistive materials such as wheelchairs, elbow crutches and other materials were distributed to help improve mobility and independence in the daily lives of persons with disabilities.
The event was chaired by Bheriganga Municipality Mayor Mr. Yagya Prasad Dhakal and attended by Honorable Mr. Ghanshyam Bhandari, Minister for Social Development of Karnali Province, as the chief guest. Deputy Mr. Mayor Ansara Bohara, NMB Bank’s Area Manager of Lumbini Province Mr. Ramesh Regmi, Branch Manager of Surkhet Branch Mr. Suman Subedi, Social Development Division Chief Mr. Suwarna Khadka, and Mr. Deepak Prasad Sapkota from Karuna Foundation Nepal were also present.
Under its CSR initiative, NMB Bank provided NPR 500,000 to support the program, reinforcing the bank’s commitment to promoting inclusive development and supporting communities in need.
